Achieving Success On Your Terms: Relax Intentionally
With so many people around us achieving success all the time, we sometimes catch ourselves feeling less successful as compared to others. Because of that, we feel the need to continue working to achieve what every other person has achieved. But with so many people achieving success, which exact person are you going to try catch up with?
The only way to decide if you are successful or not is usually based on the path you are following. The goal here is to ask yourself what direction you want to follow and determine if you are on that path. As long as you are on that path, then you are fine. Well, not just being on that path, but also continuously developing on that path.
As long as you are on that path, you only need to continue to strive for that. Comparing yourself with others does not make you any more successful. It sometimes makes you belittle your success. It makes you want to give it away from your success for the success of others. And sometimes, the other person out there even wants your success. You just do not know it.
If everyone was comparing their success to that of others, very few people would have achieved success. The need to have a path and believe in is part of what you need on your way to success. Just because the timing is different for you does not mean you are any different. Even the time around the world for all countries is not the same. Just because a country is ahead in time does not mean the other countries are behind. It just means everyone is on their time.
As long as you follow your path and your goals, then you are fine. To be okay is not only to be on your path but to continuously strive on your way. Striving on your course depends on your goals, the tasks you have to achieve, and where you are at this point. If you need to do something you are not doing, you need to get back on track. Just because it is your path does not mean you do not have to strive or work. You need to keep developing that path too.
But while developing that path, also remember to rest intentionally. Give yourself time to get back more energy to be able to get a lot more done. Relaxing consciously is the way to get rest to better understand what you are working on. Resting intentionally allows you to come back with a new perspective on whatever you are doing. Resting consciously is telling yourself I want to take a break to relax and genuinely relaxing. Let things go on and try not to stop them. Relax and get back on when you are ready. Even at war, people relax. So relax, intentionally get some rest, and get back on. We all need it.
