Be An Advocate For What Is Right
Humans are not perfect, but that does not mean we do not know what is right. Anyone can recognize what is right, even if that person is the worst of all people. Therefore our ability to identify what is right is innate no matter where we find ourselves. The only question is if we genuinely use this ability.
We all wish we had superpowers these days. Still, the ability to advocate for what is right is becoming a superpower only a few want to display. We respond with remarks like “Well, I am not the one doing it” or “Who am I to judge this person.” We say things that make us feel justified even when we know deep down that such action is just plain wrong. We just want a shortcut to save ourselves — Let somebody else fix it.
Our ability to do something when we see something wrong is an essential aspect of our lives. Imagine you pass by a road, and you see a weed growing. You decide to let the weed be. Someone else would clear it, you say. Everyone passing by has the same mentality, and you know what would happen after a short time. The road becomes unusable because the weed has taken over, and you can only complain now. Time for action is long gone.
