Do Something Now: Make Actions Happen
I am sitting at my desk right now thinking of whether to publish an article today. And in one mind is the opinion to not publish, but in another mind is the opinion to publish. And this same thing happens almost every day when I want to publish an article. I believe this is not only common to me and it happens to a lot of other writers or other professionals in various fields.
But most times, we still go ahead and put something down. We go ahead against the opinion in our mind that says that we cannot have something down today. I start by typing out the first word and before you know it, words begin to appear out of nowhere and take their rightful place on my paper.
Know that whatever force you are experiencing now that is stopping you from getting started, you are not alone. The force that tends to keep us to remain in the same position every day is real. But one thing and only one thing can make you break away from that force. Just starting.
So many times, we think too much about the process and what it entails and all we can see in our minds is just ways in which everything can go wrong. Yes, it can go wrong, but you can only be sure what would happen if you do try. If you do not try, then the result would always remain the same. It is usually better to try than not to have tried at all. The greatest form of risk is not taking any risks at all. Imagine that!
So no matter where you are in your life right now, with so many thoughts telling you not to go forward, understand that no one knows tomorrow and actions are the only keys to unlock the result of tomorrow. Imagine if you do not do anything today and tomorrow, the two days would be the same. Actions are basically our own way of writing our version of how we want the day to be.
Just the way you want it to be. It does not mean it would turn out that way. But at least, you have given your perspective about how you want your day to be. So if you want your day to be as wonderful as want it, then you have to begin to do something about it. Perfect is the enemy of good. You want it to be so perfect before you get started and you forget that starting itself helps make good perfect.
So no matter what is stopping you right now, you have today to write down some actions that can make today different from yesterday and your tomorrow better than today. Remember, if you take no action, your tomorrow would remain the same as your today. Only actions distinguish our tomorrow from today. Go past the limiting beliefs and do something today.
Thanks and God bless.
