Failure Is An Event, Not A Person

Got this quote from Zig Ziglar and it got me really thinking about how we all see failure in life. That something did not work out does not mean you cannot get things to work out. Maybe it is a path to something greater that you cannot currently understand. Life is wonderful, sweet and sometimes, unbearable, but when things get bad, remember it could be worse.

When we face challenges, remember that you are currently facing some issues that would eventually come to pass. Remember some days when you were in secondary school and you thought the day would never end due to some punishments waiting from a teacher. But looking back now, the day ended and many more days have followed. You can also look at today like that day and know that it would end sooner or later.

We can never know the outcome of every situation and as such, we have to keep going, pushing forward and becoming the best version of what we can be. It matters that you keep pushing because in the end, results only happen when you keep pushing forward. Things might not look as hopeful as you want, but they would always get better if you never relent in your effort. Never let any one event determine how your life would end, you can always do better and be better.

Learn to ask for help. It matters that you do. In times when you are down, you need all the help you can get in the world, and simply asking sometimes is the only way to get a response. Seek God in your affairs and He would never let you down. He keeps up with whatever request we have and would always answer when we pray. So seek God and always ask for help.

Beyond asking God for help, talk to people around you. You never know who might have the solution to your problem. Sometimes, the people we least expect are the ones that would do the greatest for us. So never forget to ask around when you are in a situation. Ask for help and never give up.

In the end, the most important thing you can have is hope. Hope that everything would pass. That it is a matter of time and you would eventually get it right. You would eventually be a winner no matter what the odds are like. No one can determine the future, but when you give in your best, your best finds a place for itself in the future. Not sure how, but it would. So keep moving and keep pushing forward.
