In The Grand Scheme of Everything
When something makes me feel angry or sad, I sometimes ask myself, what would this mean in the grand scheme of everything? Is what I am angry or worried about really worth it? Most times, I realize it is not as much of a big deal as I make it seem and use that to advise myself to be better.
This question is a question I hope to be able to ask myself time and time again until I realize that with patience, persistence, and kindness, we all can achieve most of the things we set out to achieve. And it is not about how we do one thing, but about how we do everything. Remember, it is how we do one thing that we would most likely do everything.
So on what you are working on right now, ask yourself if how you are doing the task is a good way to do another task. If you are writing, ask yourself if the way you are writing is a way you would love to replicate the way you do something else. Always strive to be excellent in whatever it is that you do because if you have excellence in the things you do, you would one day achieve excellence.
To strive for excellence in the grand scheme of things make sense. It enables us to be able to seek excellence even if we do not achieve it. At least, it made us much better than we can ever imagine.
As you continue through life today, I implore you to always ask the question “What does this mean in the grand scheme of everything”? It enables you to have a perspective you otherwise might not have. Looking too closely at things sometimes distorts our view and until we look at how that fits into everything else do we otherwise realize we can do better.
Always understand that life is short, but we can make every second count by learning as much as we can in every scenario and always being patient, persistent, and kind in whatever that we do. Because in the end, it makes sense.
Do have a wonderful day and God bless.
