Just A Little More Everyday

To become better at anything, you need to keep doing it over a period of time until you can do it without as much as thinking about it. It becomes very difficult to keep up with a new habit every day and we feel that we are not quite destined to play that role. But before you give up, realize the tasks that you are now very good at and how it all started.

Remember the first day you tried to walk, crawl, or even talk. It seemed as if you did not even understand a bit of any of those things. But now, some of these activities you do without even thinking about it. Those tasks are the same as the new tasks you are trying to learn now. They are difficult at first, but the more you put in just a little more every day, you realize that one day, you are not as bad as you thought you were.

All that matters is that you consistently put in the effort towards doing something you want to become better at. That is the way to achieve a goal ahead of you. Some days you would default, but remember that it is not the failure that defines us, it is how the response to the failure that makes all the difference. The difference between winning and failing is sometimes simply getting back up and doing just a little more.

But sometimes, the effort is not what even matters. Sometimes the most important thing you need in everything you are trying to do is to pray. Pray about it and seek God in whatever it is you are trying to achieve and be better at. We sometimes seek effort only but God is more important. So today, realize that you need to put in work every day to achieve whatever it is you want. Merely wishing would not make it happen. You need to put in the work.

But when you put in the work, all that is left is to pray about it. You have tried and all that is left is for God to control the situation. Many people call it luck but I call it God. The one who makes everything happen even when it seems impossible. So today, keep pushing on that goal a little at a time, never relent and always seek God in all your affairs.
