Knock All Options Out

Do you remember one of the things you wish you did before and never did? An opportunity you wish you took but later did not take? Looking back now, you feel like the outcome would have changed if you took that option. And now, it is forever too late to go back to that option and make a change. Because of this, I have made it upon myself to always follow this rule where I make sure I knock all options out.

Leaving some options not knocked out is what gives you that mindset of saying if I had done this, that other thing would not have happened. And the question I ask is why did you not do it? Imagine meeting a girl or a guy in the future and you get to realize that they were just into you as you were into them, and the only thing that stopped you from making it through is because you never got to try out your option. And how do you think you would feel knowing that you could have used that option? But know that it is better to know that you exhausted all available options before you moved on, rather than still thinking you could have done one or two things.

Options are not of any use once they are gone. So you have to make sure you exhaust them once you have them. Make it upon yourself to ensure that you have all options in the open and only keep moving after you have won or after all options have been exhausted. For me, giving up simply means that I won or I have used all available options in this case. And when no other option exists, you have done it all.

But be very careful in defining your options. Your options might be much more than you think they are. So while listing out all your options, ensure that you have truly taken time out to list out all the options that truly exist. If you list not all the options, what you were running away from in the beginning would still come back for you, the feeling of knowing that some options were not exploited.

No matter the case you are in right now, one thing I would like you to take away from this article is that if there is still an option out there, then you should go for it. It could be as simple as sending an email to that company to find out if that option is still open, to follow up with an interviewer after the interview or to simply ask even if the website says that what you are asking for no longer exists. A simple email might be all you need to do the trick.

Most times, it is the little things that we care less about that makes all the difference in the outcome. So before you imagine that the options I am talking about are the very big options, consider that the options could be as simple as picking the phone and trying one more time. Talking to that person just more time before finally letting go. At that point, you have exhausted that option. And that is all that matters.

So go out today bearing in mind that whatever it is you hope to go for, you do not leave any option standing when you get out of the ring. It matters that you put it all out to clear all the options. You can indeed do it and be the best out there. Go out there and knock all options out. You can do it. Thanks and God bless.
