Have you ever considered hiring a person for a job? You start out with a long list of the people you might be interested in picking, but as you begin to consider their various levels of expertise and proficiency, the numbers begin to reduce until you are left with few people to choose from and that is the few you would be betting on for the project.

This simple process of hiring shows a very fundamental concept of life which is that a lot of people have fairly good knowledge in a lot of areas, but when you seek to find only the experts, the number quickly dwindles and you only have a few options to choose from. As such, experts in various fields would continue to make a whole lot more since there are fewer experts and the best jobs always come to them anyways. They are able to decide the price and how the job would be done.

In essence, the competition at the top is not at fierce as you might imagine it since the number has greatly reduced. They have been able to move from the red ocean of life where the everyday battle is about competition and have moved onto the blue ocean of life where you create your own niche and call the shots. This is where we all should aspire to be in our fields, at the top. But this does not come only by wishing and daydreaming.

The natural or basic force would tend to always keep you in the red ocean where you spend basic energy to at least remain alive for the day and everyday, you just live to stay alive, no more no less. But when you want to make the conscious effort to not only live day by day to survive, you need a new form of energy to tip you off from this conventional mode of life and this form of energy is what is considered hardwork. Have you not considered that if the major work is called hardwork, what is the other work called? Easywork.

So to be able to move from the bottom to the very top, you need to be willing to let go of the easywork for the hardwork. Understand the saying, hardwork pays. It gets you from the base level to the top, that is how it pays. However, you also need to understand that hardwork does not necessarily involve expending more energy, it simply means using your resources much more than you currently are. If you are using your time less, hardwork says to maximize your time, if you have money, hardwork says to maximize utilizing it.

Sometimes hardwork is misinterpreted to mean more force exerted in what you are doing. In some areas, this applies, but in a lot more areas, hardwork might mean focusing on a whole less than before but putting more energy and effort in the few rather than doing a whole lot as you might consider. Hardwork involves understanding what your peak hours are and how to do more during your peak hours than at any other period.

So to find your way to the top, understand that it requires a whole new type of work, work you would not necessarily normally put. It means doing more research, reading, exercise, spending more time with loved ones and a whole lot more. The work you would need to do would depend on your field, but it would definitely be what the other people are not ready to put in. And sometimes, it might mean spending more time at what you are doing than others. And that is fine, but do not make it become too much as you can easily get burned out.

So consider your field today and realize what you would need to begin to do that would help you cross into the expert zone of your field. Seek mentors who are already experts and follow in their footsteps. That is one of the easiest ways to get started. So start now, keep pushing and understand that getting to the top requires a whole new type of work you would normally not be putting in.

And understand that getting to the top takes time, you do not simply expect the result immediately because you put in all the effort now. It requires dedication and consistency. Remember that an athlete does not get all that strength and stamina in one day. It involves putting in the work consistently everyday until you get to that point when you are indeed in the expert zone. But remember, it takes time. So when you get started and it seems to not be making sense, keep pushing, you are on the way. Remember, consistency and patience is the ingredients you need during this journey.

Keep pushing and I have no doubt that you would one day make it to the top. I wish us all the very best on our journey to the top. See you at the top my friend. Thanks and God bless.
