Sufficient Is Your Lord To Guide You
How many times have things happened in our lives that we cannot possibly explain? It so happens that we understand that a higher power is definitely in control of our situation. And if you can remember such situations, why then do you continue to worry over the things you cannot control? The same God who fixed it the last time is always with you to solve the current problem you are in right now. But most of us misunderstand what it means to patiently wait for God to help solve our problem.
Some people misunderstand waiting unto God as the time to simply do nothing and expect something miraculous to happen. Well, not exactly. In waiting unto God is to continue to strive in the way that you are striving and even doing more, but believing that the outcome of whatever you are doing relies not only on the energy you are expending, but also relies on a power you cannot truly understand. By continuing to push forward while waiting, we provide ourselves the opportunity to get whatever it is we asked for while working towards it.
Most people seem to think that success is directly proportional to the work done. And we can understand from the little we have learnt in life that it is not true. Consider when building a house, the person who expends the most energy does not get to have all the money at the end, only those who expend their energies strategically are the ones who get to make most of the money at the end. And that is what seeking God in your endeavors do. It makes the energy you expend useful in the right way, much more than you can experience and imagine, and when the outcome finally arrives, you see what you have done as a small thing, but God has in His ways multiplied your efforts.
And that is what waiting unto the Lord your God means. It means to seek God to make the way easier. And that does not necessarily mean making it so easy to go through, but you feel much better while going through it. So whatever it is that you are putting the effort into, understand that God needs you to keep pushing, His Grace and Mercy needs to multiply something you are doing and when it finds nothing to multiply, you know the answer. So God’s blessing is for the effort you have put out, put out some effort and ask God to bless the rest.
And when you seek God, He is enough to guide you through whatever it is that you are doing. We feel most times that seeking God makes us too religious, but it should be the basic thing we do. Seek God at all times. Because without God, we are nothing, and with God, we have everything. Having God does not necessarily translate into all your problems going away, but it translates into you being stronger than you can believe. And people around would just wonder how you are able to get through it all. But then, the answer always comes as “It was the Lord’s doing”.
So in the end, realize that a journey with God is the most important journey you can ever take in your life. Seek God in the morning, afternoon, evening and everytime you remember. Remembrance of God is what the heart needs at all times and that is how you have an accomplished journey in life. Remember the saying, with God all things are possible. It is indeed possible.
