What Are You Made Of?
What do you see when you look at this picture?
It is certainly a picture of two bottles standing side by side. What else do you see? If you look long enough, you might begin to realize that one of the bottles has something in it, while the other bottle is empty. And your next question would be, “why am I looking at a picture of two bottles”. Well, let’s keep going.
And now, what else do you see? You can see the two bottles, but now, one of those bottles is not standing. It’s fallen. Why is the second bottle not standing? The answer to that question lies in what is making the first bottle stand.
I conducted an experiment where I applied some force from a standing fan to the two bottles. One bottle would eventually fall while the other would remain standing simply because of the content of one of the bottles. If these two bottles were human, and you asked them what happened, the empty bottle would surely complain that the wind was not in its favor and so it fell. However, the bottle with some content seems to get cooler as the wind continues to blow it.
And what is the lesson from this you might ask. And here it is. Sometimes, it is not the things that happen to us…
